The Cranliegh Line Trust Was Set Up In 1967 When A Group Of Local School Boys Decided To Buy Slinfold Station In West Sussex With A View To Re Open The Line Back To Horsham. The 1st Locomotive They Bought Was Gwr 14xx Locomotive Of Great Western Railway. And With That Came Were Four 4 Wheel Carriages Of The Southern Region. And On 1st June 1969 The 1st Public Service Train Ran Out Of Slinfold To A Newly Buit Halt About 1//2 Mile Down.
Over The Years More Locmotives And Rolling Stock Have Joined The Railways Fleet. But 1 Engine The Railway Have Not Been Able To Obtian Was A Ivatt Class 2 Engine Which Use To Run Over The Line In Br Days. However The Railway Have Now Set A New Project To Rebuild The Locomotive.
In 1999 The Railway Decided That They Wanted To Extend The Railway To Lilybridge Junction The Next The Next Local Village To The Railway. The Railway Are Currently Buying Track Bed Back And Hope To Be At Lilybridge By 2010
